The first issue of BIRD NEST (aka. 'The Bimonthly Reader’s Digest of the Network of English-speaking Tunisians') has just come out on this very special day for Tunisia.

Feel free to contribute to the debates and, if you wish to become part of the editorial team, do let us know. This is your chance as a member of the network to let the others know what your are doing, if you are looking for people to work with you on a specific project, and what you think of Tunisia's relation with the Anglo-saxon world.

English Programme on Radio Tounes Bledi

We're all used to listening to the English programme on Tunis International Radio (RTCI) aren't we?

Well here is a newborn in the media landscape. "Bridging Worlds", the English language programme on Radio Tounes Bledi, is targeted at Tunisians and friends of Tunisia who wish to keep abreast of what is going on in the country. The programme is presented by Marouen, a home-grown and UK-perfected engineer.

So tune in every saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. (Tunis time, GMT +1) and let us hear your impressions and suggestions!

Welcome to The Cauldron, the federating blog of English-speaking Tunisians at home and abroad.

Tunisia has come a long way since its independence in 1956. It is now a nation with a prosperous economy, a progressive civil law that gives equal rights and opportunities to men and women, a solid social base that consists of a thriving middle-class and a youthful, educated population who is detemined to attain the highest standards of development.

The aim of this blog is to create a melting pot of individuals, ideas, projects and best practices in order to enhance Tunisia's development process and relations with its global partners. It is the meeting point of Tunisians who have in common a real passion for the English language, as well as the desire to contribute to the social, economic and political transformation of the country.
